What’s it do for you?
ME…..not that fussed! But I seem to be the only one who doesn’t like it.
I’m a morning person, and would prefer to have light when I wake up.
What ‘s your advantage to having more light in the afternoons.

I got blinds instead of curtains.... No fading here!! Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS? 8Nov 02, 2007 7:03 am Anyway - the curtains fade less in Daylight saving time.
We get up with the sun, and becasue it's light in the afternooon we are out surfing, playing on the beach or having a bbq - so the curtains (or blinds ) don't get as much exposure ot the sun anyway But I do pity the poor cows - they have to get up earlier too and when you're a bovine - the sun is your god . not the milk tanker drivers clock Steve Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS? 9Nov 04, 2007 10:59 pm Most office workers I know these days appreciate daylight savings because it's the only chance they have of ever getting home in daylight. When you start at 8:00 an work until 7:30 every night, daylight savings is your friend. Everything I know, I learned from SBS. I can’t get my head around that!!! I am working at present from 7.30am til anywhere between 5.00 - 7.00pm, 85% of the time it is the later. Somedays I start at 6.30 and finish between 5 - 7pm... I am not on $150,000 or anything (huge salary) but I m on salary as I am in management so there for, no overtime. But I get reasonably looked after... Daylight savings enables me more sunlight to enjoy..... plus it alwasy means the warmer weather is coming and more time with the little fella, as long as he is not in bed before I get home. Most nights he is, which I hate.... Michelle Do people really work those LONG hours…..if they don’t work for themselves, or earn huge salaries? I can’t get my head around that!!! Again, that would be me! Well, sometimes anyway. And I don't work for myself and let's not talk about my salary. But even if I wasn't working long hours at work my work never ends outside of work. And I don't even have kids yet! I don't know how I'm going to get anything done if I do have kids. LOL [sneakersss] Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS? 13Nov 07, 2007 8:57 am Life’s got tough to get where you want these days!!

But it is a choice people make I used to work for a Corporate - long hours, weekends, on call 24/7 Then saw the light I love day light savings and the long afternoons it provides. Plenty of time for all sorts of activities DQQ Never argue with an idiot!!!! They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience. Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS? 19Nov 10, 2007 7:49 am Working in Qld where we don't have daylight savings, it is very frustrating organising/attending meetings with other staff from other states. Last week I attended a phone hookup, where I was the only person from Qld on it, as everyone got confused. The people who organised it (from NSW) forgot to tell the Queenslanders that it was 11.30am their time, not ours. It would make so much more sense, especially from a business perspective to have QLD on daylight savings to keep up with the rest of the country. Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS? 20Nov 11, 2007 2:57 pm I think it’s crazy to have different states on different times.
Just what bda20 has said…..right stuff up! I think 1 in…..all in, or we just don’t do it. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com |
