Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jun 02, 2010 1:43 pm Hi there, We are planning to raise our fences. We currently have some colorbond fences and are planning to add some latice on top to have a bit more privacy. We received 3 quotes: 1600 - 1500 - 800. We are thinking to go with the 800 (+ GST) but I'm wondering if this is not too cheap. This is for supply & fit raw round edge lattice framed to our fence. I have asked him to put this on paper in an email and asked him if there was any extra's that we should be aware of. "no this was the price" Since our big mistake to go with a "cheap" carpet cleaner with an aweful result, we are now thinking that this could also be a bad choice. I have met the 3 "quoters" and this guy seemed to know a bit more about what he was doing. He seemed to know what it was about, no fiddling around. The 2 others spend a lot more time looking, calculating and assessing what our neighbourgs did (they have the latice to their fences as well). Now his "carpenter" will come tomorrow to take the "exact" measurements. What would you do? Go ahead with this guy? Ask for more information? What should we consider? Re: Raising our fences 3Jun 04, 2010 9:20 am Why not get another quote or two? Since those other two are so close, naturally you want to see some middle point ... or quote ... the low one being so low. I wouldn't know what to select! My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2824 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23616 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 37 23730 |
