Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Apr 14, 2010 10:17 am Here is something we just recently made and installed. You can buy these from a outdoors place in Melbourne, but our client wanted one that was 1300mm in diameter and not 1000 like the ones for sale. We had a dish pressed and fabricated a base. The look that was wanted was a rusted old look. As the dish was fabricated from new material, we acid washed it and scrubbed it back to bare metal. Then hosed it down. In 10-15 minutes we had a nice sheen of thin rust over the surface. We hosed it down for a few days and left it outside to weather. The base was made from already rusted material we had sitting around outside. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We can make them to whatever size people want too.
