Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Oct 26, 2009 3:17 pm Hope someone out there can help me with on what should i pre-planned or have ready prior to installing the Spa. I am building a new home. Questions like drainage, concretes, space, its a 2.040m x 2.040m spa..Should I deck the area first and then place the Spa ontop of the decking. Or should I concrete the area then do decking around the spa..Any directions and advice is greatly appreciated. thanks Re: OUTDOOR SPA - Preplanning Requirement Prior to Spa Fixing 2Oct 26, 2009 5:41 pm Sorry Waranraz, I have no idea! I'm just watching this space, as I wanted to ask the same question Building 'The Kingston' (with 'Boston' elevation) through Blueprint Homes in Hocking, Perth **PCI complete 06.02.10** My Thread - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17607 Re: OUTDOOR SPA - Preplanning Requirement Prior to Spa Fixing 3Oct 27, 2009 11:14 am No Worries, You planning to get a spa as well?? ?The salesguy wasnt so informative.. Alot of questions..I find it not possible to just release the water to the ground after usage as required. As i remember there are chemicals in the water. Is it harmful to the lawn ?? etc... questions, questions, questions. And to have it placed on a deck... same question.. how is the water gonna drain.. all over the decking?? .. I just hope my questions can be answered... otherwise I will just have to go with what I think is best.. As I really like to have a Spa...and just work around the problems that surface later (hopefully none) Re: OUTDOOR SPA - Preplanning Requirement Prior to Spa Fixing 4Oct 27, 2009 11:48 am Sorry I dont have an answer, but want to ask the same question! Re: OUTDOOR SPA - Preplanning Requirement Prior to Spa Fixing 5Oct 27, 2009 3:17 pm aaron4erin Sorry I dont have an answer, but want to ask the same question! We want to build a deck straight away after handover, but want to put a spa in too, not sure what order we should do things... If there are no reply or info provided.. I would then proceed with concrete the ground where the spa will be located during construction. Get the Spa delivered and installed in place as soon as PCI. Electrical wiring to be done/connected closest to my external powerpoint. After that, I would then deck around the spa..immediately after handover. Noting that 200mm away from my fencing and at least 100mm on its sides for ventilation. Prior to all that, i would go and check the Spa that I've brought onwhere its openings are, especially where the heating gadgets are.. and where the drainage is. And work out a drainage connected to my stormwater disposal.. closest -downpipe... I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
