Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 30, 2009 4:36 pm Hi All, We are building a new house and would like to know what have people done besides cafe blinds in the outdoor alfresco. We have 3 open sides, 2 small and one large. We want to enclose it a little more. Any ideas? Thanks Re: Ideas on closing an alfresco area 3Jul 30, 2009 6:37 pm You could get glass doors fitted if you want it to be more like a sunroom. Otherwise, do a google search for zip track blinds. They are a PVC blind but are fitted with a track system which looks neater, easier to operate and they don't blow around as much in the wind. A bit more exxy than regular PVC blinds but worth spending the extra money IMO. Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Re: Ideas on closing an alfresco area 4Jul 30, 2009 7:54 pm SuH We are putting metal shutters on two, part open sides of ours so we can adjust them to let in sunshine, keep out rain. You could do timber or metal slats. SuH, can you please show us a pic of the shutters that you are getting as I can't quite get what you mean? www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Ideas on closing an alfresco area 6Jul 30, 2009 8:28 pm
I think SuH is talking about this company: Ziptrak® Blinds
Thank you. When I went to the home show recently quite a few retailers were exibiting, and I was told that there are good and not so good ones, so look into it before you sign, make sure you are getting the quality you are paying...
