Eaves brackets

I kive in an older area and all the houses have decorative eaves brackets. I love them. Are they ever used in new houses?
Not unheard of but not too common. They are generally used in reno's etc.

Thanks, I might leave them off my plan although I really do like them.
I'm not really sure what you mean.... but if you go to the Porter Davis site and go to the Newtown home... that shows a facade called Noosa and that has brackets under the eaves. Is that what you mean? Kind of a modern take.

I don't know how to do a screen shot... sorry.
But here is a link. Just click the pic of the facade in the bottom left hand corner and it will show it.

Joles,

if I want to do a screen shot I hit control + print screen then open up paint and paste it in. Then save.

The Porter Davis ones aren't exactly what I had in mind. More like this.65_Central_Street_cornice_brackets.jpg

It was hard to find a picture of what I had in mind.

Mike, that's the sort of thing I'm talking about.

Maybe I don't see these in new homes because a lot of new homes don't have eaves.
Thanks.. I'm a bit computer challenged.
