It wouldn't be direct light of course but there would still be a lot of light I would have thought. I have thought about having a veranda which would be part colourbond and part laserlight so it would let the sun in to heat the house in winter time. However this would mean that in summertime you would not get protection from the heat when sitting underneath the verandah unless you had another sort of cover like shade cloth that you fitted in the different seasons.
