Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 May 05, 2009 10:32 am I am thinking of having my carport cover replaced was contemplating extending the cover and building a new deck under it. In the pseudo picture I have attached the yellow area is the current carport over a raised concreted area. The pink bit is currently a lower grass area which I want a deck built over to the same level as the concreted area (about 10 cm higher). The brown areas are decking but that area is a level higher. Is paving with tiles cheaper or a hardwood deck? I want to have the same cover over the carport and this new deck area. I want a cover which can provide lighting, look good to have a nice atmosphere but also protect the area from rain/hail. I was thinking of Carbolite or Louvres or some clear alternative that does not discolour. Electronic Louvres look expensive so manual is an option. Any recommendations? On a bit of a budget so price is of importance. I will hopefully be posting real pictures soon! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Verandah/Deck - Carbolite or Louvres or ?
