any suggestions for outdoor built in bbq adjacent benchtop . It will get rain and sun. Told granite and stainless steel are the main options but are there anyother better options . You've have to seal it though. I've also seen floor tiles used for the BBQ bench tops. Re: outdoor bbq benchtop. 3Jan 19, 2009 10:39 am We're going to build one and at this stage we plan to use some leftover floor tiles - they can be sealed if need be, but should stand up to the weather OK. I also have some leftover pebble feature strips, which I'll probably use too - those definitely have to be sealed.
We haven't finalsied the exact design but it'll be rendered Hebel and we'll most likely edge the benchtop in decking timber to give a neat finish.
