Re: Gazebo tips anyone? 2Mar 11, 2009 11:58 am Been looking at gazebos and found a great source for ideas has been local council structures; they are generally built sturdy and have been built round the place right up to big sizes for functions and cermonies. Can be a good reference for design and materials. Can't help with your maths though mate, good luck. .. Re: Gazebo tips anyone? 3Mar 11, 2009 6:07 pm Use 290x45 pine for the beam if spanning the 6 metre or 190x45 if using a post in the middle.
140x45 for the rafters ( 140x45 will just span the 4 metre with colorbond roof - if you go longer you will need 190x45) If the rafters are spaced at 1 metre use 70x45 for the battens. Re: Gazebo tips anyone? 4Mar 21, 2011 1:27 pm Building a gazebo requires four basic steps. The first step is to build the frame for the deck floors, the second is to assemble the walls, the third is to add the roof, and the last is to make the finishing touches. You can find lots of information and some guides online that can help you build an awesome Gazebo. Please some photos here when it's done. Just be careful with building stability during construction, that is when the structure may be weakened, refer to your engineering drawings for stability methodology. 1 7215 Thank you so much.
