Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jan 02, 2009 11:12 pm Hi everyone:!:
Today was a really, Really, REALLY long day! But I'm very, Very VERY happy with the result Just over a month ago we moved into our first house, and one of the first items on what seems to be a never ending list of things to do was an outdoor space for entertaining. We considered building a deck off the kitchen, however, as we plan to knock-down and rebuild in 5yrs the cost simply wasn't justifiable. So instead we settled on a paved area centred within some decorative pebbles boarded by treated pine sleepers. We have also incorporated two garden beds as part of the overall design. Here's a few pics I took tonight after we finished, but I will take some more detail shots tomorrow and post them with some info on exactly what and how we did it all. P.s. just ignore the light cables- they'll be hidden beneath a layer of mulch tomorrow P.p.s. the first pic is actually the outdoor set we ordered (not our yard though). Fantastic makeover! You have certainly created the 'wow' factor in such a short time. I really like the design and easy to maintain. It is so easy to sometimes 'give up' on a house that you know will be knocked down in years to come. 5 years is a very long time to be in a home so you will appreciate the effort into making your house a beautiful, comftable place to live in. Looking forward to more pictures of the garden and the interior as you do the makeovers.
