Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 01, 2024 8:31 pm Hi, We are redoing our backyard and as part of that will be doing a 50m2 flyover Stratco Cooldek patio, with 100mm insulated panels. We will also be looking at fitting blinds (95% - 99% efficiency, as we do not want the clear cafe blinds) so as to be able to close the area off to the wind and rain. Roof height will be about 3 Metres. The floor will be tiled concrete slab Being based in the colder climate of Canberra, we are looking for recommendations for strip heaters. Our preference is Infrared rather than radiant. It is very hard to find anywhere near us that has any on display that are hooked up and working, so whilst they all look nice and pretty online, it is hard to say without feeling their output, We did find one place that had both Bromic (Platinum) and Heatscope (Pure +) on display, and the Heatscope appeared to give off noticeably more heat than the Bromic. We are also interested in Heatstrip or Herschel, but as mentioned, we cannot find anyone that has them on a working display. Does anyone have any real world experience with any of the brands mentioned, or a recommendation on another brand we should be looking at? We have also started toying with the idea of below-tile electric heating, but I feel that really won't be very effective, especially when looking at the cost. I think spending more on quality heat strips may be a better investment, but again, happy to take any real world advice, Cheers Craig Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has switched from a small square tile insert or normal square waste to a strip drain at all, and if so did the plumber or diy-er… 0 14689 Make sure you have the required soil bearing capacity at the shallow founding depth and the strip footings are designed for the expected loads over (including the wind and… 1 1640 We do them in all our bathrooms and the hobless look is fantastic. We custom make ours on each job as well (it's cheaper to buy them in long lengths which we fabricate to size) 7 1547 |
