Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Mar 09, 2021 2:26 pm Just wondering what is the best treatment of soil below a timber deck to prevent grass growing through the deck. The deck is being built under a tinted pergola. I am tossing up between: 1. Placing 50mm of concrete then placing deck joists directly on this; or 2. Removing topsoil, lay landscape fabric, place gravel, install concrete footings, install joists/bearers above this. I'm also open to other suggestions. My apologies if this question has been asked before.
