Firepit - concrete with metal bowl

Hello, I'm in the process of having this firepit built and before using it, I wanted to get some opinions on the safety of it. It has a brick base with concrete above and a firepit bowl directly on top of the concrete. Do I need to be concerned about the concrete overheating and exploding? Thank you!

You are fine. The concrete is never going to explode.
Worse case scenario is that it develops a crack from different rates of expansion but hopefully it's got some reinforcement in it so even a crack won't be a problem
