Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 23, 2020 6:31 pm I am redoing my entire kitchen (contemporary/modern style) and I am in the process of choosing my kitchen appliances. I want a large cooktop and a large oven (900m). My budget is about $3500 total for those two items. Initially I had my eyes on this 6 burner Bosch but then buying a separate 900mm oven was going to push me over the budget and it appears the free standing options are significantly cheaper so I am thinking of going down that route. Currently choosing between: 1. Bosch Serie 8 @ $3248; or 2. Electrolux 90 cm @ 3290 The Bosch has a lot of positive reviews and there are not many reviews on the Electrolux. On the other hand, the Electrolux has a more powerful cooktop, in particular the Wok burner at 22 Mj/h (whereas the Bosch is 14 Mj/h), and the oven seems to have more features including a smart probe. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or any other suggestions? The renovation will start in August. Current design attached (will need to be amended for 900mm) Thanks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Kitchen Renovation and Appliances - Cooktop and Stove 2May 23, 2020 8:22 pm I find most top brand stoves, ovens, cooktops are very reliable, you really can't go wrong with either, with reputation and reliability pretty even,I would pick the better spec product which sounds like the Electrolux Re: Kitchen Renovation and Appliances - Cooktop and Stove 3May 24, 2020 11:13 pm Found a lovely looking Smeg 90cm stove cooktop for roughly 3k with a 5 year warranty.
