Walk in Pantry shelf hights

Hi guys,

My build has a walk in pantry with a size of 3m long by 1.1m wide
Standard shelves are 300 deep with 4

hights are
500mm
900mm
1300mm
1700mm

so first one is 500 above the floor, then 400mm gap in between

ceilings are 2700mm high. so 1000mm gap from top shelf to ceiling
We are thinking of adding one more shelf, which would leave a 600mm gap to the ceiling

Any recommendations or idea?

does the spacing seem okay?

Those heights are fine, have you thought about what you want to store on the shelves? 400 will fit a large cereal box nicely.

Those height seem fine, and extra shelf would be good just need to mindful whatever yoi get up there wi take some effort to get down. Maybe thats why they stopped at 1700mm.

Todays the day i need to lock it in.. so I'm going crazy trying to work it out
is 500 above floor good or should i go higher?

I was even thinking
600, 900, 1300, 1700, then top shelf 2000

so spacing as
30,40,40,30

suggestions anyone?

Mine are at the builders default spacings of 500, 400, 500, 400 from the floor (with 2.7 ceiling) and it seems to work OK, I have never has a feeling I it would be better if it was different. Bottom 2 shelves are 600 deep and others 450

Thanks, 500 high seems like you'd have lots of wasted space, but i guess it really depends what you put on the shelfs.

I have seen someone added continuous shelf on all 4 side of walls @ 2100mm height (above door).

example is in below image top most will be above the door opening. Only issue can we less light from ceiling LED & best is to add hanging light as shown in below image.
