I have been in this house 18 months and have bugger all. Think about it alot I want to paint the walls, but in order to do that i have to paint the ceiling. In order to paint the ceiling, i have to change the light fixtures. And thats where i stop. To change the light fixtures i have to replace the cables, and crawling through the roof just doesn't appeal to me at the moment. I'll get round to it one day Re: am I going the right way. 83Sep 30, 2008 5:41 pm No I’m about to get in and make some comments….not dead yet Mel! You need to decide wether you want tiles or glass as your splash back. With a black granite top coming I would seriously consider glass. The star fire one, I think the natural one will look good with the black granite. Please DON’T paint the tiles, too me that’s a quick fix, and not good for resale down the track. A kitchen is usually a selling point. If you’re going to do it, you should do it properly. You don’t have a lot of splash there so go all out. The photo you posted today is great, that’s what you should be aiming for. By the way, the timber hand rail on the wall behind the TV is it? Leave that timber! It balances out with the timber floor. And once you paint it, that’s it, you will have to keep on painting it. They tend to get knocked so the paint chips. Too much work. I like it timber. I think you have done a lovely job with your lounge room!! Now have I forgotten anything? 6 pages worth, I’m bound to have! The photo is the green tint one, I love it! You can then paint the back of the glass any colour you like to make it a feature. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=9223 Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: am I going the right way. 99Sep 30, 2008 8:57 pm ok getting confused now..
so 1. Tiles off paint wall with undercoat to atleast get it all white. 2. get starfire glass which is the clear one for true colour. (isnt the greentint normal glass?) 3. pick a colour for the back of the starfire glass and get it done... 4. install it. I don't think red will go with what I have Joles. that post looks awesome btw. which photo was the green tint one. The one I posted ?
