I've changed my kitchen as you can see in the photos.. But hoping I'm not making major design flaw. My question is, would you leave the benches in the original draft as a corner bench and just forfeit the extra WIP shelves I was trying to gain by my redesign. Also in the redesign draft they took the side walls down to the oven bench.. Would that look totally stupid considering the bench is only small 2.25m long? Re: Kitchen design advice please 2Oct 03, 2019 11:36 am I prefer the new design, it’s quite similar to mine, and I did it that way because I didn’t want corner cupboards in the kitchen. The extra shelf space in your pantry is a definite plus too! The extra shelf space in your pantry is a definite plus too! Thanks heaps. I'm really second guessing my decision and I've got 3 days left to lock it in with our builder so I just needed some opinions and advice. What is your opinion on the oven bench with no end walls on it? I'm not sure whether to put just the one on the end (run the hallway wall up to the end of the bench) Re: Kitchen design advice please 4Oct 03, 2019 1:12 pm Personally don’t think you’d need to have the wall there. It’ll also mean you lose 100mm of bench space too. Re: Kitchen design advice please 5Oct 04, 2019 9:24 am I like the second design. But I think you might be better off swapping the fridge area with the cooktop area. That way you will have more bench around the cooktop, and you can add a window splashback for more natural light. Re: Kitchen design advice please 6Oct 08, 2019 9:17 am I like your changes to the kitchen. I would just put cavity sliders on the Theatre though. I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14400 Our Bondi Greenwall was impressive from day one with advanced lush plants to provide a wow factor to this recently renovated living area. The boundary was less than 1… 0 16590 Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing. If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time.
