We are changing the benchtop Stone on the island (1.5mx1.8m) to add a 300mm overhang over the double door cupboard as a breakfast bar (2 stools).
We are strongly considering a waterfall end to meet the new overhang along one side of the island (where the wine rack is. Will move power point away. We have drawers the opposite side, so can’t waterfall that side.
What are people’s thoughts on a single sided waterfall?
PS all the existing granite, sinks, cooktop and rangehood will be for sale shortly, if anyone wants it msg me😉

I think it would look great but seeing as you already have the wine rack and power point there, why not just leave as is and spend the savings on not having the extra stone for waterfall end elsewhere? The 300mm overhang for the breakfast bar will look good and function well either way, I just don’t think you’re getting the best value losing a power point and wine storage but then paying extra on a waterfall.

Actually I changed my mind, I don’t think it would look right having just one end as a waterfall. If you’re going to do a waterfall I think you commit and do both ends, thus also losing the cudboard up the other end. Otherwise just leave as is with the overhang, no waterfall and the benefit of a power point, wine storage and cudboard.
