I know I will be able to ask the kitchen supplier (when we get to that point) but would like to do some planning befroe......
Is anyone able to point me to guidelines on what size benchtop you can get from a standard size slab? and how does this change if you want a thicker egde profile? How much of the edge is wastage/unusable?

Slabs come in size 2.8_3 metres by 1.950 width maximum size, so some are 2.8 metres by 1.9,
If your kitchen or stone guy sends you to his wholesalers factory like we did, you actually walk around and pick the actual stone you will use, you could hand pick the bigger slabs.
