Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Caesarstone benchtop advice needed please 21Mar 09, 2012 7:44 pm We just googled this topic regarding red wine stains on LINEN CEASER STONE, because we just opened a sparkling shiraz which frothed over and was wiped up within 30 seconds it stained the bench top quite badly. We will try gumpton but just cleaned with a stone/granite cleaner and it did not come out entirely. BEWARE CEASER STONE DOES STAIN.
We had granite in our last house no problems at all and we just built our new house (3 months old) we won't have any red wine around it in future. Cheers Re: Caesarstone benchtop advice needed please 23Mar 10, 2012 10:42 am 3 months living with white shimmer caesarstone and haven't had a problem. Love our red wine and curry.... not on the same night lol. We were toying with the idea of a dark stone, probably black, so I think it just comes down to taste. The guys who installed our benchtops warned that the darker colours are hard to keep (looking) clean. Their boss had a black stone kitchen and now regrets it for that reason. http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/sceen7/201211069.jpg Re: Caesarstone benchtop advice needed please 24Mar 10, 2012 4:45 pm We have ice snow c/s benchtops & no probs with stains. C/stone's brand name creme cleanser seems to get off everything (curry, beetroot, red wine). "Whoever says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain!" Re: Caesarstone benchtop advice needed please 25Mar 10, 2012 5:23 pm Yes the black colours are so much harder to keep looking clean and streak free, thats why we went for a lighter colout this time. All is good , gumption works wonders. BTW,Sreen 7, very nice kitchen indeed... And we've always used jif on our benchtops if it's ever been needed. Lightly, with water. Never had a problem. Helps to wipe up straight away. 2010, June : Land bought (1700sqm, battleaxe block). Well the blue is for glass only, the clear gets grease off and kills germs and it can be used on windows as well. I also clean my SS cooktop with Windex, actually I clean most things with it.
