its deciision time again and i need help from all you wonderful experenced people.
We are building our kitchen in teh next few weeks and i have chosen POLYTEC VANETTE black matt for our overhead and under counter cabinetry.
i loved vennete black for the reason that it is an anti-fiinger print product and super matt and silky to touch.
Then i saw a 2 PACK kitchen and i liked the edging better. The polytec edges still show but 2 pac edging was smooth.
My question is, is there really an anti-finger print matt black 2 pac available at all? or simple 2 pack black matt? also people with polytec, does the edging show very obviously on the cabinetry?

Can you get your kitchen company to show you a sample of the 2pac? I looked at venette in Black but my Kitchen company could do 2pac for not a great deal more (venette was already a big jump from standard melamine). I ended up going with a satin white as I changed my mind about black. Fingerprints are nowhere near as bad as my previously glossy kitchen.

thanks a lot Shed. i can ask them and see what they have to say.
Also would you know if there is anything like an anti finger print black 2 pac at all? since i am having black cabinetry all the way and worried that if it is not anti finger print then it might be a problem.
did you find the edging of 2 pac different from polytec?

With 2 pac they paint the whole piece of board so there is no edge strip. As it’s a paint I dont know if you could get it to be totally anti fingerprint, but I’m guessing the level of gloss you choose may make a difference. A friend just had a black and white kitchen in standard polytechnic melamine installed. The edges are way more obvious on the white compared to the black.

Yes i thought so too. the edge strip was pretty obvious the white strip when i saw it in a showroom. It did show on the black venette also though. but not as much.
so now it is what you want to choose then, antifinger print polytec venette or seemless edges in 2 Pac.
would you know about the durability factor of both?
