Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Dec 20, 2017 1:32 pm Hey Guys Was trying to find a good large single bowl or double bowl sink in granite with drainer and haven't found one yet. We were also thinking to get draining grooves done in the stone benchtop and install a single large bowl. Are they recommended? Approx cost of it and do it while installing with builder or stonecutters can do it later? Is that area of stone slanted as well or the grooves are made deeper towards the sink? Don't want the water to just sit in the grooves. Recommendations please. Re: Caesarstone and draining grooves 2Dec 20, 2017 5:26 pm Hello, I can’t help with the sink as I’m going steel, but double bowl. I am getting a temporary benchtop and getting all my kitchen stone after handover. My in laws have the stone grates and my stone mason also offer this, I remember seeing it at my builders kitchen company too when I was designing my kitchen layout. The stone is sloping a little toward the sink so it drains but not a huge amount. As for cost I’d say anywhere between 200-500 depending if you use a private stone mason or your builder but you’d have to ask your supplier. I thought of getting it done but I decided to have a double bowl sink with a drain rack inside one of the bowls. They usually come with your sink too, the sink in my current house is like this and did. I like that it doesn’t take up any extra bench space viewtopic.php?t=89059 Re: Caesarstone and draining grooves 3Dec 21, 2017 9:40 am Thanks..
