I have a small wall space where I have to put in a oven cabinet with cabinets either side. and the rangehood above with wall cabinets either side as well.
Symmetry tells me to have the cabinets either side of the oven & rangehood to be equal in width to fit the wall space.
The problem is equal width makes their size not very practical-especially as one side has to be drawers.
The solution is to ditch the nice symmetry and have one side a greater width than the other. Making the drawers much more practical.
The space cannot have just two lines of cabinets instead of three for complicated reasons I wont go into. It has to be three.
The sacrifice being that you lose that symmetrical look that is pleasing to the eye but not all that practical.
