Hi All,
Could anyone please tell me whether dishwasher provision size W610mm/H850mm/D580mm is alright?
What brand and model would you recommend?
Thanks

How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: Dishwasher 10Sep 06, 2008 7:20 am Quote: No shame in taking a few of your bowls and plates to the showrooms to test it out! Do I have to wash them first Thanks for the list Mek. I'm looking at the Asko or the Miele at present. Steve Re: Dishwasher 11Nov 18, 2008 5:15 pm I'm looking at getting a new dishwasher as it has been revealed that our Nobel one SUCKS.
I find it very interesting to see that the Asko was at the top of the Choice list there...my mum has one of those and HATES it!! She loves the Vulcan Dishlex and plans to get another one of those once the Asko dies (which she hopes is soon). lol What causes certain washers to be better/worse for various people? Aren't plate/bowl sizes much the same for everybody? Is it to do with pipes? Water pressure in someone's house? How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: Dishwasher 13Nov 19, 2008 8:57 am We had an Asko in our last home and loved it. This rental is brand spanking new and has a Dishlex - can't say that I am overwhelmed with it - misses a few marks on plates most days.
In our new home we are having the F&P Dishdrawers - my MIL has had them in her home for 8yrs and loves them - even with one causing grief last year she would still have them hands down over any other brand. Re: Dishwasher 14Nov 19, 2008 12:37 pm See, this is seriously why I’m scared to spend money on a new one, cause my mum says her Asko leaves marks on the dishes, leaves sludge on the door and the floor of the dishwasher, and is incredibly loud. She said her Dishlex was quiet and cleaned perfectly.
What makes people’s experiences so different for the same dishwasher?! I mean…why does your Asko clean your dishes so well and yet leaves my mum’s not that well cleaned? Why is it quiet for you but loud for my mum?? What affects loudness? I’m nervous that something is amiss with my pipes and it’s affecting my dishwasher…and this same issue will affect any new dishwasher I get too. Though all those reviews I’ve read about Nobel dishwashers that had all the same issues I have…that doesn’t instil much confidence! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: Dishwasher 15Nov 19, 2008 1:02 pm stonecutter1309 Loved my AEG dishwasher - was pricey at $1500 (about 5 yrs ago) but never missed a beat. I was sad to see it go when we sold our apartment. Couldn't you take the dishwasher with you?. Or was it included in the sale contract? Re: Dishwasher 16Nov 19, 2008 1:41 pm D@n most people tend to leave dishwashers in the home as part of their contract. Especially when they are built-in - would leave a horrid gap if you removed it.
In our case we left the dishwasher, double door fridge, bar stools, dining room setting plus home theatre set-up. Dishwasher, fridge and home theatre because they were wired / built in whilst the others were specifically made to match the home and so would not match our new home so they became part of the home contract. Re: Dishwasher 17Dec 03, 2008 10:05 am several people we know have Miele and swear by them, they particularly like the cutlery rack at the top.
We are getting one for our new house it's $2,000 but we have NEVER had or used a dishwasher before, my teenage boys say they will gladly do the dishes when we get it, I reckon it will last about 2 weeks until the novelty wears off! Re: Dishwasher 18Dec 06, 2008 10:41 am I think both miele and asko are very good dishwashers. Miele's cutlery tray is very good for washing cutlery but you'll need to put your cutlery one by one onto the tray so be patient. And if you choose asko make sure you check the height of the model cos some asko dishwashers are 860mm tall. We were all set to get a Miele dishwasher until this morning when we had an appointment with Smeg to discuss our stove and rangehood, when we mentioned we were getting a Miele dishwasher the fellow gave us the spiel on the Smeg dishwashers and was very convincing that theirs are better, does has anyone had experiences with Smeg and if so what is you opinion please? Re: Dishwasher 20Jan 17, 2009 12:42 am I actually bought a Smeg semi integrated dishwasher second hand off ebay. I LOVE it. I put in absolutely filthy dishes and use powder from Aldi and my dishes come out sparkling EVERY time. I guess it would be about 3 - 4 years old now. I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions. What is the function of the metal strip about 500mm long x 60mm wide the tell you to… 0 5616 |
