Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 12, 2017 7:56 pm So noticed the cupboards installed today but there is about a 3-4cm gap between the wall and the cupboards on one side of the kitchen (like they measured wrong)... We couldn't get in for photos but are considering waiting to see what they do before asking the question. Should this be re-done or is a filler acceptable if this is not in plan? Re: Gap between wall and wall cupboards (not suppose to be) 2May 13, 2017 12:38 am There is always a gap where the cabinets meet the wall. It gets filled with a scribing fillet. 30mm is pretty standard. This is where a filler gets scribed to suit the shape of your normally out of level walls. It also allows your doors to open past 90degrees, most kitchen cabinets are fitted with a 107degree hinge.
