Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 13, 2008 8:21 pm Hi
I had my colour appointment today with PD, it took me a lot of time to decide the colours for the kitchen, i have selected folloeing colours: Wooden floor - chestnut oak (as per pic) Stone Benchtop - QQ Coral Reef Cupboards and Island - Velveteen (Formica) Overhead Cupboards - New Antique White Splashback - Grapeshot (Dulux) What do you think about these colours. any comments or suggestions will be highly useful. Your splashback sounds gorgeous, too - is that a "grape" colour? Sounds stunning! It's such a huge day at Hopetoun, isn't it?! Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Re: Selection of Kitchen colours 3Aug 13, 2008 8:46 pm Thanks Petal
I am glad that someone likes the colours. I have got most of the neutral tones in the kitchen, so thought of introducing a bright colour. The pic below is the splashback colour, but due to the glass being in green tinge, this colour will be half a shade darher than this actual swatch. i just love the complete white look with timber flooring. but DH wanted to bring the neutral tones together with a bright splashbacks. again as per me the white kitchen will never go out of fashion Re: Selection of Kitchen colours 8Aug 13, 2008 9:14 pm I'm a big fan of the white kitchen/timber flooring combo too ... was going to have a greeny tile for our splashback but thought it would make more of a statement not to!
Your colours will look lovely - I'm sure Mich will come along and give it her stamp of approval shortly! Re: Selection of Kitchen colours 10Aug 14, 2008 12:40 pm Hey Michelle
Pleas look into the thread, i am waiting for your advise on the colours Re: Selection of Kitchen colours 11Aug 14, 2008 12:43 pm Homeishome,
Post your colours in Michelles' decorating lounge forum. She may have missed it here in the fitchen section. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Selection of Kitchen colours 12Aug 15, 2008 8:50 pm Oooh, hih, looked at that splashback colour - gorgeous!
I'm having a VERY white kitchen - white 2-pac cabinetry, ice QQ benchtop, white starfire splashback, and oyster linea overheads (which is a very , very light colour, too) with brushed chrome handles, and we're having a Tassie Oak timber floor. when I say it all together, it IS very white! But I love seeing what other people are doing, and i think your kitchen will look great - esp that fab splashback! Hopefully it will add brightness to the neautral colours that i have selected. As i mentioned earlier as well I love white kitchen as well and when i went for colour seletion, i had a full white kitchen in mind but then DH stepped in and added all these colours. I like them too, lets see how it turns out for you and for us. Hopefully the best to our expectations What say? Hi Kaiser85, We are building with Firstyle Homes.
