Hey guys
I have a new house and it has not even been 3 months old yet
I used the rear burner for the first time which is closest to my Window "splash back" and when I put a pot on there the flame then widens a bit as they all normally do
But what is happening is my splashbut has a wide glass window with wooden skirting around it
The flame is way to close to the wooden skirting and its burning it!!
How did this pass compliance? I really wish I got a indepandent building inspector now, but I did not even know you could get them before I finished the house and signed off on it
I will call the builder tomorrow but now I am so stressed out about it, because I had to break my leg just to get them to come fix another issue
1. This is not safe and is extremely hazardous
2. I am now stuck using just 4 burners when I bought a 5 burner
By design standards what are the legal specs allowed when you put a stove near a splash back with a window with a wooden skirting around it?
See the pictures
If no one here knows who can I call and ask apart from the builder themselves because they could tell me whatever they want Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
