I noticed the sink at my daughter's house does not drain well and so always has food scraps in it. Please tell me about the sink you chose and why. The house is a rental and so the sink is cheap and no matter how much I scrub it, always looks unclean.
I have seen undermount sinks in existing homes for sale and after years of use do not look so great. Do you regret your undermount sink?

We rented in a place with an undermount sink & have decided to have a regular sink in our build. We like to leave our dishes to dry on the rack and the undermount sink doesn't have a drainage space which means we have to put a tea towel down on the counter for the rack to sit on.
We also found mould would grow in the part between the sink and bench but that could have been due to poor silicone application

It has nothing to do with it being an undermount.
Its all about the design of the bottom of the bowl. A lot of manufacturers have gone to flatter bottoms on both top mount and undermount. Just pay attention to how much fall the bottom has.

I have an undermount sink and they are easier to keep clean than a standard sink as you just wipe crumbs etc on bench around it straight into the sink and the bowl itself is no different than cleaning any sink bowl. The sink themselves are a lot bigger too, so much better for large pots. When washing pots i wash on one side and place them in other sink to drain or use a drying mat, havent used my dish drainer, everything else goes in dishwasher. With no drainer it gives you a lot more bench space too.
