Kitchen design- ideas appreciated.

Looking for ideas for our kitchen design.

I always wanted a kitchen with an island bench with no sink.

And the bench running into the pantry is where we plan on putting the toaster and kettle.

Planning on waterfall ends on the island bench.

Any other design ideas are appreciated as I think I've reached the end of my creative tether.

Thanks

Also we will be having grey tiles. House is black, grey theme.
Planning gloss white cupboards and black stone benchtop.

But thinking of doing the opposite on the island bench with black cupboard and white benchtop.

Opinions on my ideas or any others are appreciated.

Input anyone?

Our island doesnt have a sink as we felt a sink takes away too much prep area, also have waterfall.
I love your idea of bench extending to the pantry.
Other options we selected was a wall oven as i dont like bending over to a hot oven, pull out rubbish bins in island, intergraded dishwasher as i think dishwashers look ugly.
I would only go black bench tops if the kitchen is light and bright, wouldnt suit a kitchen that doesnt have a window as it would make it very dark.
We went with a white kitchen, but grey splashback, grey walls, dark bathrooms, black blinds. So happy we went with the greys now. I hate beige now lol

Thanks. They are all of my ideas too.
Thinking of going a very dark grey bench top.
Also hoping to do a teal back splash between the windows to add a minute bit of colour into the kitchen.

Craig, are you project managing this or getting a specialist in? in terms of design I suggest you go to a kitchen maker who should be able to give you some ideas. Then you can tweak that to what you think will or won't work for you.
It's a big investment so the experts are well placed to give you the best advice.
Good luck
I'll add my vote for talking to a professional too. To get the most out of such a discussion, make sure you have thought about what you want from the kitchen - is it just you who will be cooking there, or does the whole family want to get involved, do you just cook family meals because you have to, or do you cook for fun? If so, what sorts of things do you like to cook, and will that change the appliances you need eg wok burner on the cooktop, double ovens, double/single sinks. Do you preserve food and need room for storage jars and a couple of freezers? Armed with this sort of information, your kitchen designer has a much better chance of suggesting the things you need rather than just what happens to be popular at the moment.

Good luck.
I did a mock up on a 3d kitchen planner and I do love the placement of everything. I did change the position of the microwave space.
But I designed this kitchen with a lot of thought. I have 5 children and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I have also taken a lot of time to think about placement of all of my kitchen stuff.

Your cooktop might be better placed on the bench adjacent your wall oven and then move your sink up to where your cooktop was originally. That way your work triangle will be more efficient.
