Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 03, 2008 4:04 pm Hi again,
just found this forum, and think it is great......... Looking at your help in finding a demolisher to knock down and old weather board house and clear our land. The cheapest quote we have received so far is $7000, has anyone managed to find a better/cheaper quote? Thanks Julie & Warwick Re: Demolishing an existing house in Melbourne 2Aug 03, 2008 4:15 pm Hi Russ,
One of our members is going through that now and I think your quote sounds good. Here is a link to the thread - the demolition starts on page 17. http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=7810&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=240 Paula Re: Demolishing an existing house in Melbourne 3Aug 03, 2008 4:29 pm Welcome to the forum Russ. Our demolition cost $8800 inc GST for removal of small 3brm post-war house, including asbestos removal and a large shed on its own slab, on nearly 600 sqm in Melbourne's west.
I guess variables like size of the house, land and whether or not there is asbestos involved will make the quotes differ... but I agree with Paula $7000 sounds pretty good! Good luck and we look forward to hearing more about your plans Re: Demolishing an existing house in Melbourne 4Aug 03, 2008 5:10 pm $7000 sounds like a fantastic price. We are paying a little over 10K for a 3brm brick veneer, asbestos removal, concrete, 6 mature trees and 2 sheds
With the weatherboard house, have you thought about selling it and have it relocated instead of knocking it down? Golden Age Homes: http://www.gah.com.au/ Good Luck! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I guess it comes down to your timeframe. Building in manor lakes 2008 Re: Demolishing an existing house in Melbourne 8Aug 09, 2008 10:05 am we got 3 quotes ranging fron $14000, $20 000 and $34 000.
The last was ridiculous so it pays to get a few quotes. Ours is a large double brick 4 bed house and double concrete garage on a slope though Mike 2/3 of the way thru the build 4 11183 1 19708 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45484 |
