Hi,
I'm doing a plain ivory coloured tile as my kitchen splashback but i'm unsure whether to have it stacked or subway. Could i please have some opinions? Thanks

Stacked is all in a row and off centre would be brick pattern. I've seen subway tiles done in herringbone too but i think you need a large splashback to get the full effect. I think brick pattern looks much more on trend than stacked. Re: Stacked or subway splashback 3Apr 07, 2016 11:11 pm Yes sorry I meant stacked or brick pattern. Will brick pattern still look ok in a modern contemporary kitchen or is it mainly used for traditional/heritage style? I'm worried it will look out of place. Most of the pictures i've seen for the standard kitchens of the big name builders is either glass splashback or stacked tiles. Re: Stacked or subway splashback 4Apr 08, 2016 1:14 pm We are doing the subway tile with dark grey grout. I love the look Re: Stacked or subway splashback 5Apr 08, 2016 4:19 pm We also went with Subway tiles with dark grout. I wanted some texture and utilitarian look into an otherwise modern white clinical kitchen. I think we achieved the look I wanted but my father said it reminds him of a public toilet |
