Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 20, 2016 10:59 am Hi guys, I have been working on out kitchen for the past couple of weeks. We got a quote from The Good Guys for our kitchen stone benchtop using SileStone for $7100. I measured the kitchen myself after the kitchen designer is gone. My kitchen consist of a L-Shape bench and a Island (1400x900 with waterfall finish on one side) I add it all up and it is not bigger than 4 sqm in total. Then I come across Ikea PERSONLIG stone benchtops. It costs around $550 per sqm compare to SileStone $1775 per sqm that TGG quoted me. 1) Does SileStone really cost $1775 per sqm? 2) Is StileStone really 3 times better than Ikea PERSONLIG stone? 3) Anyone install Ikea PERSONLIG stone benchtop in their kitchen? any good? Re: SileStone vs Ikea PERSONLIG stone benchtops 2Mar 20, 2016 11:06 pm Heard bad stories with good guys with pricing at whatever they will get away with, and stone comes in slabs about 3 metres long x about 1.5, plenty have to get a second slab when jt falls short. Re: SileStone vs Ikea PERSONLIG stone benchtops 4Mar 21, 2016 12:37 pm Good Guys, really are you serious?? Try going direct to a stone mason. Also check that the colour you have selected is within the standard range and not the top range.
