Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 25, 2008 12:45 pm A new kind of stove I saw yesterday in my neighber's home. She bought it on website. It is great to cook. No fire, No heat. She said it is induction cooker. Wonderful cooktop! It is beautiful in the kitchen.
I got some infor of induction cooker on website. "An induction cooker uses induction heating for cooking. They are faster and more energy-efficient than traditional cooktops. Also, the induction cooker does not warm the air around it as other cookers do. Advantage The heat is being generated from an electric current induced by an electric coil. This form of flameless cooking has an edge over conventional gas flame and electric cookers as it provides rapid heating, vastly improved thermal efficiency, greater heat consistency, plus the same or greater degree of controllability as gas. The amount of time that it takes a pot to boil depends on the power of the induction cooktop. Thus, it is much faster than conventional electric coil or radiant cookers. Induction cookers are safer to use than conventional stoves because there are no open flames and the "element" itself reaches only the temperature of the cooking vessel; only the pan becomes hot. Induction cookers are also easier to clean because the cooking surface is flat and smooth, even though it may have several zones of heating induction. In addition, food cannot burn onto the cooking surface as it is not hot." I think I will buy one because of its power. What is the point of advertising this sort of stuff in a different country. They usually want a minimum 30% deposit with balance paid in full BEFORE it's even shipped. Then there is , on average, a 30% chance you will NEVER receive it at all I've being burnt twice.....never again So...no thanks Best Price Wardrobes Sliding door robes | Walk in robes Deco panel | Mirror | Melamine 26 to 28 Cottage lane Hackham M: 0402 927 376 http://www.bestpricewardrobes.com.au Trade welcome Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4774 The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 13532 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6623 |
