Stone mason just did the bench top. Cost saving i guess.... I have the sink mounts, they are in an sealed pack in the cupboard under the sink. I have spoken to my next door neighbor whos father is a builder. Getting him to come and look at it today as I can see a way to make and attach some sort of support once the sink is on. Alternatively, I'll go ask at the kitchen/joinery place in town about getting them to attach the brackets that came with the sink. This will involve drilling into the stone, which I'm not even going to attempt. Stay well away from builders, they never should mount bowls! All kitchen places use stone masons. We always contract out to them. Try and get in contact with a local stone mason. Seeing as though this is the second attempt you should do it properly!
