My first time building a kitchen and every 1mm looks like 10mm to me at the moment. The gap would correlate to the thickness of the adhesive they have used to secure the stone. You will never get a zero gap. As Cutting edge said, some no more gaps or silastic will do the trick to fill the gap, or just leave it. You will only ever see it if you are on your hands and knees looking for it. If you have a new house, suggest you don't go looking for every little 'fault' because you will go mad. There will be gaps and imperfections even with the best of builders. You need to stand back and look and anything that is obvious from a distance needs fixing, but not everything that looks 'wrong' at 30cm, like this gap if a problem.
