Re: Advice on renovating this kitchen **UPDATED pics on pg 3** 47Aug 04, 2008 8:51 am Oh, how I can relate to this maze, IT IS EXACTLY it is exactly like this pic!!!!! However, one gets better with each visit , I am pretty good with all the shortcuts by now. Though I am afraid that when the new catalogue comes in they will change the layout and I will have to start all over again.
Did you see the new colours, orange, yellow, and yes Michelle lime green too it is like moving back in time. but no pink and blue sorry Mikeala . The new US catalogue is out on the net so you can see what is new in IKEA. Maggie Re: Advice on renovating this kitchen **UPDATED pics on pg 3** 48Aug 04, 2008 11:13 am I hadn't been in 3 years so everything was new for me! I don't bother with shortcuts, get's much too confusing, just keep your head down and follow the arrows on the ground, you might get dizzy but you'll get out eventually =) Re: Advice on renovating this kitchen **UPDATED pics on pg 3** 49Aug 06, 2008 2:57 pm ok I've had a think about colours, all white cupboards I think will make the colour of the tiles and bench stand out too much, so I think I'll do the small cupboards in "sharpening stone" white knight paint, and all the big cupboards on the other wall in white, paint the walls white and have the little alcove thingies in the stone colour also. Then hopefully the stone will be the feature colour and the benchtop won't annoy me too much until we have anough money to get it replaced.

Anyway you can get a bigger photo up? It's a darksih grey with a blue tinge, I have to go in to the paint shop and see though because at the moment I'm just going off the website which could be a bit out. Will post bigger pics when I get home, my gmail photo thingy is being a pain. =) Re: Advice on renovating this kitchen **UPDATED pics on pg 3** 54Aug 07, 2008 7:15 pm I really like your photoshopped version. I have no skills in selecting colours but I know what I like when I see it. The light, bright colours suit my style of kitchen. I like the foods I'm chopping up to catch my eye, not a busy wall or bench colour. Re: Advice on renovating this kitchen 55Aug 15, 2009 12:02 am ***UPDATE*** Long overdue, it's been a year!! (moved, bank stuffed us around, fiance had car accident, nrma sort of stuffed us around, got married, honeymooned, did lots of gardening and some small landscaping... NONE OF IT FINISHED! All half done... *sigh* Getting back on track now though, slowly moving through the house in Winter, ready for spring to come around so I can get outside again and finish everything!) I finally have after pics! Still not quite finished though. Did the painting last school hols so it's done for now, until the summer hols when we'll be getting the floors done (pending finance, ie me saving up $4k) stained and polished timber, fixing the silly shaped bench (just going to saw the weird end off and re-surface), and doing the white tiles in a very light grey tile paint to cover up the motifs. We're thinking of doing this too, maybe today! Using the white laminate paint like you have on your right hand wall - the only question is, have you been happy with it in terms of being able to clean it? Using the white laminate paint like you have on your right hand wall - the only question is, have you been happy with it in terms of being able to clean it? Hi leaf, I am super lazy when it comes to cleaning the actual doors, but luckily the dark blue colour hides a lot of sins. They are really easy to clean though, just wipe over with a damp cloth and some spray and wipe if it needs it, just like regular laminate. What you are looking at is fibrous plaster, true gypsum, it is cast on horizontal beds with fibers included to give strength. I has no Asbestos in it.
