I think mattwalker installed some himself for a good price https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... um+drawers It has been a while since I read it...so it may not be exactly what you are after. Raz There have been other posts on this subject. For hinged doors using Hettich and Blum hinges, there is a soft close clip on attachment available, which can be added later. With draws you have to decide up front which system you want to go with. Using the blum system there is a "Tandembox" soft close system or a "Metabox" draw system (not soft close) With the "Metabox" draw system it is possible in some cases to add after the event, a soft close mechanism Best Price Wardrobes Sliding door robes | Walk in robes Deco panel | Mirror | Melamine 26 to 28 Cottage lane Hackham M: 0402 927 376 http://www.bestpricewardrobes.com.au Trade welcome Re: CAA KITCHENS 6Jul 16, 2008 10:38 pm Raz Hi Josh, I wanted to have the Blum soft close option for the drawers and cupboards but was wondering is there a cheaper alternative for this? Raz Sorry Raz, too tired these days. I think you can use the plastic foots which can attach on the inner side of cupboards and drawers. Those little stuff can be bought from IKEA. Thanks for your careing and hope my answer can help you. CAA Kitchen Assembly Worker Re: CAA KITCHENS 7Jul 16, 2008 10:52 pm House-To-Be I don't even know what a blum is The blum is invented in Italy and this system is used in a lot of high class drawers might be cost more. The blum is made of special spring which can guarantee millions of thousands times opening and closing, This system is a "semi-automatic" invention means you just need push your opened drawer to the half way and then it can be close softly by itself. The blum is more expensive than ordinary drawer system and more complex in installation. CAA also sells blum drawers, and you are welcome to check this kind of system.
