Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 10, 2008 10:50 am Ok...any thoughts on which laminate would look nicest?
I saw a kitchen in a canal home done in a 2 pack Pearl Bisque (colour matched) and ABSOLUTELY LOVED the colour but my dilemma is that we cannot afford 2 pack and Pearl Bisque is not Gloss like Cream Flash is. They both have a shimmer to it. My builder thinks Gloss is the way to go which is why I have chosen Amerind Cream Flash but I really like the colour of Wilsonart Pearl Bisque as it is unique. Will the Pearl Bisque LS still look as good??? PS I have polished porcelin tiles...so should I have gloss kitchen? Help!! Thanks, Nicole Re: Cream Flash gloss OR Pearl Bisque???? Hope that works. Cream Flash has a slight shimmer and is high gloss. Its really nice. Re: Cream Flash gloss OR Pearl Bisque???? I had a look at the Amerind site……the Cream Flash doesn’t look as nice as the Wilsonart Pear Bisque! In all honesty…..I would use the Wilsonart Pear Bisque, it will be cheaper, and it’s very unique and quite classy! Can’t remember…..but what are you using as your benchtops?? Only because I think if the kicks were in the Peal Bisque it would be a classier look. Quite truthfully, I’m over the Aluminium look! What splashbacks are you having? Last minute change!!! 12Jul 10, 2008 7:26 pm Yeah I agree.
At the moment I am doing tile to the oven and then mirror either side. I would probably go for a tile to match the bench. However I am sourcing a quote to have mirror the whole way along if its not too costly. My only concern with Pearl Bisque is the floor tile. It can give off a green tinge as it is an Ivory colour. When you place the sample of Pearl Bisque flat on top of tile it is perfect however it looks quite warm against the tile when held upright. All my other colours are warm eg carpet is Cocoa and I think?? the bathrooms will be Espresso Ligna- and they look beautiful together) so I figure it might look OK. Its really hard when looking at small samples! Re: Cream Flash gloss OR Pearl Bisque???? Last minute change!!! 13Jul 10, 2008 7:34 pm Here’s Parburys phone number.
Ring them and ask for a larger sample. 1300 361 313 I think it should look ok….it's very neutral there’s no reason why it should not go with your floor. Have been looking through this forum and just wanted to know how your kitchen turned out? I'v changed my mind a hundred times but currently am thinking of pearl bisque cupboards and coffee coloured polished porcelain splashback 300x600 tiles. I'm going to go for Caeserstone cashmere benchtops though as I prefer a darker bench. I'd love to see any photos of your kitchen. I was also thinking of introducing highlights of dark chocolate coloured cupboards just to intoduce dark tones but am not sure how this will look. Sahana Re: Cream Flash gloss OR Pearl Bisque???? Last minute change!!! 18Aug 25, 2008 5:09 pm Hi Sahana,
You have great taste!! Ha. Our kitchen hasn't gone in yet so I can't show you any photos but they will probably be installed in about a month. Sorry. I know how hard it is to visualise!!! My builder took me to her sisters house and showed me her kitchen which was done in the Pearl Bisque. They used an ivory coloured tile splash with the CS Osprey and a dark chocolate on some of the drawers. It looked magic. I sooo love the Pearl Bisque. I haven't seen it done with the Park Avenue- Bianco (coffee colour) tile but the lady at the tile shop assured me it would look fantastic as it needs a bit of depth. I don't think you will be unhappy with the result as they are all neautral colours. How soon do you need to decide cause I can send you a photo in about a month or so? Regards, Nicole cream flash goss or pearl bisque 19Aug 25, 2008 5:31 pm Hi Nicole,
thanks for replying so soon. I think I should probably have a month. Yes, the Park Avenue tile was the one I saw and liked too except the colour was called Moka-stumbled across this tile by accident. Is Bianco a lighter colour? It is so hard to find this colour in this size! I'm just hoping they don't discontinue this tile before it's time to build! The pearl bisque is lovely-has a great shimmer to it. It's also really hard to find a nice chocolate coloured laminate-so far the only one I've found is Formica Mocha though it is very dark. Can't wait to see your kitchen. I bet it will look great. Sahana Re: Cream Flash gloss OR Pearl Bisque???? Last minute change!!! 20Aug 25, 2008 5:57 pm I am unsure of the Moka. I don't know how different it is to Bianco.
I have emailed my builder to ask what the chocolate colour laminate is so will get back to you. Nicole Hi, planning on using the attached stone pieces in my bathroom. I want to remove stains and gloss seal. Can I get some advice on best way to remove stains and best… 0 6709 This link might answer your question.
