The kitchen was 3.4 x 2.8, however I have extended it by pushing a wall back and adding another benchtop and cabinetry, so it is now about 5.2 x 3. I think this is a good size. I have heaps of kitchen stuff too. Better to be bigger than smaller. My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: kitchen too big ?? 7Aug 11, 2015 2:21 pm The only reason I can think of why it might be too big would be on account of the distance from the sink to the fridge/pantry, but a bit of walking is good exercise anyhow. If you thought that were a problem, you could move the pantry wall and make the pantry bigger and kitchen smaller. I don't think it would be a problem as is though, because it's not particularly big. Re: kitchen too big ?? 9Aug 12, 2015 10:54 am ya.. i tot of that as well. so i might reduced the island bench to 3m only and also extend the width to either 1m or 1.2m Splashers The one thing i would be worried about is the breakfast bar bench, is it longer than the max length of stone (3000mm) or laminate (3600mm) you wouldn't want a joint in it Re: kitchen too big ?? 11Aug 17, 2015 8:14 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ mayb this will be a better picture.. as my living is 'shorter' than my kitchen+pantry by 1m.. some suggested to me to flip the kitchen+pantry and living area.. since it will be facing the morning sun and it will be more spacious.. decided to flip the kitchen+pantry with the living area.. need some help how to maximise the space..would love to have the WIP with benchtop+sink and also came out with this design..what do you guys think ?? i will only have 6050 length for the kitchen+pantry..
