Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 04, 2015 8:59 pm Hi guys Need a suggestion for a kitchen sink tap with a wow factor ! like something with a touch sensitive nozzle or something ... What other innovations are there in kitchen taps. Price - within reason.... Re: Kitchen tap with wow factor 2Jun 05, 2015 9:24 am A few of the manufacturers are now making taps from a black material as opposed to to all the shiny stainless steel or chrome ones. http://www.meir.com.au/store/matte-blac ... mixer-tap/ There are also a few with LED lights for various functions but I think those are a bit gimmicky. As always it depends on how much you want to spend. Stewie Re: Kitchen tap with wow factor 3Jun 05, 2015 9:30 am I'm a fan of Oliveri, I recently bought the Vilo with pull out mixer which you can get in a black version http://www.oliveri.com.au/au/tapware.cfm The LED ones do look pretty cool though, check out this one http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/02/delta ... et-review/ Re: Kitchen tap with wow factor 4Jun 05, 2015 4:10 pm I just purchased this tap. There are some nice taps in this range Good luck. http://www.abey.com.au/store/kitchen/ar ... ull-mixer/ Re: Kitchen tap with wow factor 5Jun 05, 2015 4:32 pm Have a look KWC taps www.kwcswiss.com.au if you're willing to splurge and spend $1000+. They are like the Mercedes of taps. HansGrohe and Grohe taps are a bit cheaper than KWC but are raved about as well. If I didn't have to worry about the costs I would go with the brands I just mentioned as they are all reliable Swiss and German manufactured taps. They are not readily available everywhere though as not many people are willing to pay that much for a tap. You may be able to source these taps directly from Germany for half the price but some people have had issues getting it installed because unlike the exact same model supplied here in AUS, the German one does not have a watermark on it and without a watermark some plumbers will not install it your home due to liability issues. Its a risk you'll take if you want to save some money. If you don't want to spend close to 1k but still want something quite fashionable and supposedly reliable, have a look at Phoenix taps hwww.phoenixtapware.com.au/. I especially love the twin shower mixer in Onix(black). Phoenix taps can be found at Masters. The only issue with Phoenix it that its Australian designed but manufactured in China. I'm looking to buy only black taps as I hate the look of watermarks and scratches on chrome. I also saw some black tap ware from Blanco but they look abit too modern for the Scandi look that I'm going for. Re: Kitchen tap with wow factor 6Jun 06, 2015 10:16 am Hi Stewie, thanks for the suggestion on our tapware range. We currently have a 20% sale when this coupon is used: BLACKISBACK Stinkybuns, we have just released our own version of Phoenix's onix black shower, however we have opted for a square design as opposed to round. Re: Kitchen tap with wow factor 7Jun 28, 2015 2:24 pm Is it easy to change a tap? I don't like the standard one we are getting, so I'd like to get one myself after. I like the black ones too that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7394 Brass or 2) Stainless steel made - which Kitchen tap is good for drinking.Brass kitchen taps in Australia contain lead… 0 6737 7 5139 |
