Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 16, 2015 10:50 am Hi. We are slowly getting there with our kitchen reno. I have to decide starfire glass colour by Monday. Top cupboards Dulux Vivid White. Lower cupboards Dulux Blue Oar. Benchtop caesarstone Ocean Foam Stainless appliances Floor Spotted gum timber Adjoining open plan living dining wall colour Dulux Blue Chifon 1/8 strength which is a very pale blue. Room is flooded in natural light and house is Beach style. I originally planned Vivid White splashback which is the colour it is painted in photos. Now I am thinking it may be too much white and a little stark. Would love some feedback. Let that glorious shade of blue do most of the talking!!! Re: HELP needed with splashback colour 4May 18, 2015 7:21 pm I think a soft grey colour would be nice Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: HELP needed with splashback colour 5May 18, 2015 9:17 pm We're having spotted gum flooring in our renovation! Have you thought about a mirrored splashback? or maybe a white subway tile? I agree you wouldn't want too much to detract from the cupboards Re: HELP needed with splashback colour 7May 19, 2015 4:04 pm I think a 'muted' soft grey tone will do the trick. Quality is like buying oats. If you want good, fresh oats, you'll pay a fair price. However,if you can be satisfied with the oats that have already been through the horse, that comes a little cheaper. Re: HELP needed with splashback colour 8May 20, 2015 2:06 am Soft grey would work, white too white on your darker blue! Re: HELP needed with splashback colour 9May 20, 2015 7:02 am Thanks everyone for your replies. Have decided to stick with white, didn't want to introduce another new colour, as we already have two blues happening in that area, so to tie in a grey may have not worked as we want to keep the fresh, clean beachy look. Our previous kitchen had grey tones and we always felt it was a bit dark. I don't watch Reno Rumble but agree that kitchen is similar(we agonised long and hard to find the "right" blue to make it work) We have even installed a bank of four opening velux roof windows above our kitchen/dining area, ours has been ordered for over six months so we are very very glad to see the vision we had on paper being translated into the real world. Thankyou so much ๐ I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK ๐ 2 7073 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3210 |
