Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 12, 2015 3:17 pm Hi, I am currently going through a renovation and am trying to decide on a splashback colour. I really like the idea of black glass but I have heard it is horrible to keep clean and people have regretted. Does anyone have any feedback for me? TIA Re: Calling those with black glass splashback 2May 12, 2015 10:11 pm Hi I have a black glass splashback (you can see photos in my thread 'kitchen reno' a bit further down) and I love it. I was considering a red one, but thought it might date, so when I saw a black one in a kitchen display centre I was sold. The only time it's a problem is for a short time in the morning when the sun shines on it directly and it highlights any spots I may have missed. The rest of the time, you can't see them! Usually, I just wipe it over with a micro fibre cloth and Windex. If it has been spattered with oil behind the cook top I will wipe it first with warm soapy water or, occasionally, Nifti. Some times you can see dust on it, but a quick wipe with a dusting cloth fixes that. FWIW, I have a friend with a mocha coloured splash back and she complains that it shows everything all the time. Don't know about other colours. Hope this helps. https://form.jotform.com/240284569218058 Please spare a moment to fill out this survey form for a project.
