Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 19, 2015 7:38 pm Does anyone know if these are legal in QLD? Had one in our house in NZ, have been renting for two years since we arrived here and missing it greatly. Would like to put one in the house we hope to be building soon but can't find any info on whether they are allowed or not. Have looked at heaps of display homes and am yet to find a house with one installed. Re: Kitchen Waste Disposal Unit, Legal? 2Apr 19, 2015 8:07 pm In west Australia you are not allowed. I would ring the water board Re: Kitchen Waste Disposal Unit, Legal? 3Apr 28, 2015 11:23 pm They're not good for the environment anyway. Food scraps etc should be composted or land filled. You out scraps in insinkerator and it goes to the wastewater treatment plant only to be captured in the screens and landfilled at a greater cost. Re: Kitchen Waste Disposal Unit, Legal? 6May 08, 2015 8:18 pm They sell them around, our building colour selection appointment, they had the option of them I think from memory. Re: Kitchen Waste Disposal Unit, Legal? 7May 13, 2015 9:11 am They are still allowed in NSW but I too think they should be banned for the same reasons as above. When I go for a swim at our local beach I'd rather be swimming in clear sea water and not a soup of fine particles. Stewie I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe. S o I… 0 36944 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6634 2 4684 |
