Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 06, 2014 4:55 pm Hi all Anyone got any wise idea on distance between pantry doors to island bench? I currently have 1100mm. Pantry is actually two large updown cupboards (so 4 in total) and each door is 510mm wide so will eat up 510mm of the 1100mm gap. Just wondering If i could get away with 1000mm gap. I've been out with the tape measure and its probably fine as I wouldn't even open all four doors etc. current rental has a 1000mm hall way and opening a 820mm linen cupboard isnt' an issue... Maybe i'm over thinking things?! Re: Pantry door to bench distance 2Nov 06, 2014 6:54 pm Hi Beazley77, Both 1100 and 1000 would work for your kitchen. Pantry doors are usually only open to put things in or get things out. If you need the 100mm somewhere else then I would definitely consider reducing the space to the 1000. Good luck with it all.
