From the sample I considered it to be in the brown family!
Matamber….pink is made up from brown, that’s why it is in the Laminex browns…..they are derived from the same colour.
Do you have a photo of the kitchen?
If you can't post one email me one.

You are enduring everyone's kitchen nightmare. We all feel for you. I would say change it no matter what. It's upsetting you so much that I think it will detract too much from the enjoyment of your home. And that would be a bigger price to pay than the cost to replace it IMO. Please keep us posted and I hope you can work something out. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 23Jun 08, 2008 6:36 pm I sympathise with you, I couldn't imagine having something turn out totally different to how I imagined it.
IMO, if you do decide to go ahead and change the doors, I'd go for white, be it gloss or semi-gloss. You can easily add colour through accessories, spashback and furniture, and it would go so well with your choice of C/stone and look lovely with your floor. Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 25Jun 08, 2008 11:03 pm Hi matamber,
You poor thing, I think you are living all of our worst nightmares. Our Moleskin cupboards look good with our Sydney Blue Gum floors which have also got a bit of a "pink" in them. I think Moleskin would also look OK with the Sandstone stacker stone. Mokeskin is an off-white, so not sure how it would go with the C/Stone though. I'm sure Mish will be able to help you out with a colour that will go with everything. Hope you can sort it out. Stipple seal is nice, and moleskin as`someone else suggested. That's from an amateur though... good luck keep us posted you poor thing. Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 28Jun 09, 2008 7:22 pm Ditto
My tummy was churning while I was reading your post. What a horrible outcome for you. It certainly looks pink to me but maybe you could add some dark laminate on the upper cupboard doors that bring it all together. Check out the polytech range as well as they had some nice colours in there which would go well with Rose Gum. If you can get a pic of your cupboards it might help us get a visual; and perhaps don't go ahead and change them until the floors are installed & furniture in, as you never know how it will all come together. Good luck in finding a solution Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 29Jun 09, 2008 7:47 pm Matamber

Our whole kitchen from SRD Kitchens including the (stainless) whitegoods was $7000 - there is a photo somewhere in this forum under flatpack kitchens thread. Good luck with everything. Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 32Jun 10, 2008 2:53 pm Thanks for that Kyton. Our kitchen place have quoted $3100 for new doors and panels etc. But his advice was to wait, install everything, put down the benchtop etc and then re-assess. He said it would cost no more to change later, than it would now.
So I think I'll take his advice if it doesnt make a difference! We might end up liking it, it certainly complements the floors! I wont be able to take a pic today, but will tomorrow, I promise!! Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 33Jun 10, 2008 2:59 pm Excellent……that would be my advice as well…..you maybe surprised when it’s all finished!
What a great guy he is….what a relief for you to know you can have it changed!!! I have exactly the same fear, our kitchen is going to be a colour called pearl dust, the sample we saw was a nice neutral colour, but kitchens ive found on the web with this colour look pink! I'm terrified once its installed I'm going to have a pink kitchen but its too late to change now so I guess I will also have to wait and see. I'm looking forward to seeing the picture of your kitchen and I really hope you end up loving it! Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 36Jun 14, 2008 8:26 pm Sharee is that a Formica colour? We've picked Formica "antique white dust" for our main bathroom vanity top.
dust supposedly means it has speckles. I have a small sample here and it isn't pink and neither was the large a4 sample i saw at the tile shop but when i pulled it up on their web site it had a distinct pink hue. I think it's the speckles. You'll have to wait and see. Fingers crossed for you. It also might depend on what you put wiht it. We've put laminex sand beige with it to give it more of a browner tone. Re: I dont like the colour of my new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37Jun 15, 2008 2:03 pm Hey Kexkez, it is a parbury colour, doesn't look pink on the sample but as you said with your colour does have a shimmer to it which on the internet looks like it throws pink! I am going to hate it and have already started putting in the work to prepare my husband for the $$ it is going to cost to rip it out after handover (although so far he says no way) No the fireplace doesn’t work.
