Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 25, 2014 7:40 am Advice needed. In a kitchen reno we are having a 600mm pull out style rangehood. The issue is the cupboard it is immediately under is 850mm wide . Unfortunately due to surrounding cupboards etc we can not extend the cupboard to 900mm and put in a 900mm rangehood Does any one have any thoughts on how to cover the extra 125mm on either side of the rangehood initial idea was to extend the cupboard doors down around the rangehood. However, we are having shaker profile on the doors, so if the cupboard is a non rectangular shape we cant continue the profile. Every way that i think of doing it, just looks a bit weird. i would really welcome any input from the creative and practical experience on this forum. Our kitchen company is basically saying that will look weird but unable to provide an alternative. Re: Advise needed pull out rangehood and surrounding cupboar 2Sep 25, 2014 9:05 am I think the only alternative would be to fit a panel to the face of the range hood that extends over the sides of the rangehood to meet the cupboards. If you can set the rangehood back slightly you could make the panel the same colour as the cupboards. If it can't you can have a U shaped piece of stainless made to fit over the face. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Advise needed pull out rangehood and surrounding cupboar 3Sep 25, 2014 9:34 am sas19621 Advice needed. If its a new kitchen then the cabinet should be made the same size as the rangehood. If its a reno on existing then just replace the pull out front with a piece of the door material at 850mm wide.
