Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Recent kitchen makeover - Essa Stone has a chip! :-( 41Sep 23, 2014 10:45 am I think we have to remember that a kitchen is a workspace and should be used. We have marble on the island bench in the middle of our kitchen. Its marked scratch but its the easiest surface to make pastry, breads and marshmallow. When it does get really bad i just buffed it back with a cheap car buffer and came up like new, sealed it with olive oil and away we go has had a tough life but it will out live all the other surfaces in our kitchen. Not everything is meant to be picture perfect for the life of it, kitchens are fun to work in so enjoy it rather than stare at it. We chipped our four month old stone top yesterday ( no one is owning it, but there is a chip now that wasn't there yesterday morning...lol). I called our installer who claims they can't repair it until after Christmas. I'm really hoping not to wait that long, any suggestions on who I could call to have a look?
