Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 06, 2014 12:53 pm Hi all, Wondering if anyone else has experience with matching a laminate benchtop to a Caesarstone one? Our CS Urban kitchen benchtops are going in shortly and we have matching (white shaker matte 2-pack) cabinetry going into the laundry, which has the same flooring as the kitchen. I don't want to pay the CS premium for the laundry so am just wanting a "good enough" standard range Laminex match. Any ideas? The laundry is a separate room with a door so we will never be in the situation of seeing the two benchtops in the same area. Re: Laminate benchtop match for Caesarstone Urban? 2Jul 07, 2014 8:59 am Laminex Stipple Smoke, or Polytec Concrete Fabrini match Urban quite well. Otherwise, to lighten the area up, Laminex Pure Mineralstone (white with a grey stipple) Quality is like buying oats. If you want good, fresh oats, you'll pay a fair price. However,if you can be satisfied with the oats that have already been through the horse, that comes a little cheaper. As it turns out our kitchen company project manager had it all in hand and the laminate top unexpected turned up this morning! It's Stipple Smoke and as you suggested, it's a great match Re: Laminate benchtop match for Caesarstone Urban? 4Jul 07, 2014 3:31 pm Excellent. Don't forget to post pics Quality is like buying oats. Re: Laminate benchtop match for Caesarstone Urban? 6Jul 08, 2014 1:13 pm Nope, I was wrong - it's Polytec Concrete Fabrini. An unexpected twist was that I got a call from the kitchen dude this morning to say that our CS Urban benchtops were ordered last Friday - but that he'd received word that Urban is out of stock/unavailable and that CS "doesn't know" when they are getting more!! Silver lining is that we're getting Oyster for only $200 extra (which I think is not bad at all) - it was originally our first choice but we chose Urban as this isn't our "forever house" and the effect from a distance was going to be pretty much the same. Yep, CaesarStone have been having real trouble with stock for atleast 12 months now. I have had this problem a number of times now! Only a $200 upgrade from standard to Dulux, the builder has really looked after you. They normally sting badly for this upgrade! Out of interest, CEK - how much DOES the Deluxe range cost compared to Standard? We are being charged $100/slab and require 2 slabs. From memory when we were making the initial decision the difference was much more than $200. The kitchen guy did make the observation that he thought CS would have milked us for FAR more than that were it not a problem at their end. Re: Laminate benchtop match for Caesarstone Urban? 12Jul 08, 2014 7:09 pm Crazyk Oh. I hope I don't get in that situation We were lucky in that Oyster was our first choice, but also we had multiple other (QQ and Essastone) options available to us - and in all honesty I probably would have been happy with any of the choices the kitchen guy had out when I went to the showroom this morning!
