Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 15, 2014 2:17 pm I'm starting to finalise the colours for my kitchen. I like the grey tones so am looking at an Essastone Piazza benchtop and Laminex Silk Finish in Moose cupboards. My concern was there would be too much grey and it would be dark. The kitchen is an open space with a family room so quite a good size. My other option is the Piazza benchtop with white cupboards. I just really love the Moose colour and wanted to use it somehow. Has anyone used either of these colours, would love to see photos and ideas, thanks so much Loving our new home, Upper Hunter NSW on 2.5 acres Re: Essastone Piazza Benchtop & Laminex Moose Cupboards 2Jun 15, 2014 4:39 pm Hi Danette, if you like both colours, I would change it around. If you have dark coloured cabinet fronts, you will see every little bit on it. If your floor is the same greyish tone, it might look all in all too boring, dull and sterile. Check if the cabinet fronts are easy to clean. Re: Essastone Piazza Benchtop & Laminex Moose Cupboards 3Jun 17, 2014 4:37 pm Thanks so much for your reply Evelin, I really appreciate it. We have dark coloured cabinets in our current kitchen and yes you can see every mark on them, they are a flat surface though. I'm hoping with the Silk finish it wouldn't be as bad but you definitely have a point. I think I might look at white cupboards too, got some samples today and maybe do some shelving in the Moose. If anyone has used these colours (Essastone Piazza or Laminex Moose) I'd love to see them, not much on the net that I can find, thanks Loving our new home, Upper Hunter NSW on 2.5 acres Re: Essastone Piazza Benchtop & Laminex Moose Cupboards 4Jun 24, 2014 11:02 am We've got moose, but for a benchtop not cabinets (after I spent up bigtime on adding a wip and a 4.2m splashback window I couldn't stretch the budget for stone benches!). I'm locked out at the moment but should be able to take an "in progress" pic next week if that helps. We paired it with pearl grey base cabinets and polar white overheads.
